Weâ¬"ve been coming to Save Our Soles for years because they provide the best shoe care in town. Havenâ¬"t used them for key cutting or engraving as yet, but if there as good as their shoe care, Iâ¬"m sure its highly recommended! This is one of the small B&Q stores, so a trip here often results in frustration, followed by a drive to the B&Q Warehouse store at Castlepoint. There is a selection of goods, but generally if you are doing a proper DIY job you will find that they can only supply a part of your shopping list. As with all Homebase stores, it delivers just what you are after if you want to accessorise your home, or need a bit of paint to spruce it up. However, if you need any proper building materials then a trip to B&Q is always the ultimate result of a trip here! Monica's Pattisserie is definitely to be avoided if you are on a diet. The selection of cakes, sweets and bread is excellent. The quality of the food is also top notch. I have had various prescription requirements for my son this year, one of which is notoriously tricky to get hold of. After a few teething problems, the pharmacy has got this sussed and keeps a regular supply of the wonder drug arriving as required. Mostyns has a huge range of stock to take away immediately. There is also a bargain basement corner by the door with a selection of heavily discounted roll ends and blinds. They also have fabric books and displays form all the main suppliers and offer a made to measure service, should you require this. You can have detailed assistance should you need it, but equally the staff are happy to let you browse alone should you prefer. I don't particularly like this store. I tend to shop in the evenings so that I can leave my children at home. Store policy seems to be to block every aisle with multiple restocking trolleys, so that at best negotiating the aisles is difficult and at worst impossible. Stewarts is a really nice garden centre with friendly well trained staff. On a recent visit with my son in a pushchair, I decided to also pull a trolley with my compost purchase. A lovely shop with loads of choice in their showroom.

Very helpful and friendly staff

Went in there with a vague idea what I wanted and with the help of the staff in giving me lots of alternatives and things to consider I felt I walked out with the right item at a right price without feeling pressured into making a decision there and then.

A large bookshop in Christchurch High Street which caters for everyone.

Has loads of books downstairs with a childrens section at the rear. Very brightly coloured and both my boys love to go in there for a look and a play.

Have ordered a couple of books if they are not in stock and have always got them in in a couple of days and a phone call to say it is in.

There are quite a few offers too which include buy one get the other half price and have seen signed books too

Upstairs there is an artists section which although not used seems very comprehensive
