It was so good i asked for more! Very clean and tidy rooms, very reasonable prices, no one is going to try tip you off at this place. On the one hand the food is definitely very good and is a cut above most of the fayre in the local establishments. When we were there I had the calves liver, and I have to say it was gorgeous, melt in the mouth stuff and beautifully presented. The wine list was extensive and had a couple of reasonably priced options. My only criticism was that the service was sometimes painfully slow ... including that frustrating 20min wait for the bill that can slightly sour even a great night out.So The King's Arms is Gary Rhodes' venture in Christchurch and it has well and truly split locals' opinion.
